On December 28, 2024, PowerSchool, a third-party service provider used by DPCDSB and many school boards across Canada and North America, became aware of a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorized access to certain PowerSchool Student Information System (SIS) information. On January 7, 2025, PowerSchool notified us of the incident and that personal information of our students and educators may have been impacted. This webpage will serve as the primary source of information provided by DPCDSB to staff and community members. It will be updated regularly with new information as it becomes available. Included on this site are Community Information Bulletins from DPCDSB, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) from DPCDSB and PowerSchool, as well as any additional information relevant to this issue. Responses to common questions received by DPCDSB will be posted in the FAQ.
